By Jonathan Moyal, Founder — Snoots

Snoots is a veterinary membership. One monthly fee covers your pet's primary care — unlimited visits, vaccines, bloodwork, imaging, dental, neutering, and more.
We've been doing this in London for several years across six clinics, and we've cared for more than 8,000 pets. Now we're opening our first U.S. clinic this summer at The Shops at the Promenade in Clifton, NJ, off Route 3.
We only have one membership and it's the same for every pet. $55 per month, or $48 per month if you pay for two years up front.
Here's what's included
Whether you have a new puppy, a senior dog, a mischievous kitten, or a cat who believes they're your landlord, membership covers:
- Unlimited in-person consultations
- Unlimited remote consultations
- Vaccinations
- Bloodwork and lab testing
- X-rays and diagnostic imaging
- Dental cleaning (when paying annually)
- Neutering
- Preventative care and routine wellness
No deductibles. No exclusions for pre-existing conditions. No waiting periods. No price increases because your pet had the audacity to get older. We treat pets based on what they need, not what a policy allows.
It all started with a mission
Five years ago, I worked on an affordable pet insurance product. It was there I first heard a term I've never been able to shake: financial euthanasia.
It's what happens when a pet that could be saved is put to sleep because the family can't afford the bill. Data suggests it's as many as one in five. And I couldn't stop thinking about it.
The problem was never that people didn't love their pets. Anyone who's ever rushed a dog to the vet at midnight, spent a sleepless night worrying, or lost an argument with a cat about getting into a carrier knows exactly what I mean.
The problem is that veterinary care has become increasingly expensive and unpredictable. Every visit comes with a second question hiding behind the first: How much is this going to cost me?
That question changes behavior. People wait. They hope. They convince themselves things will get better on their own. Small problems become bigger problems. Preventable problems become expensive ones. Until the solution is no solution at all.
The model, and why it works
People often ask how we can include so much for one monthly fee. The answer is simple: we focus relentlessly on primary care. That's it. That's all.
We're not a specialist hospital and we don't pretend to be. We're primary care specialists whose job it is to keep your pet healthy, catch issues early, and help you navigate what comes next if something more complex arises.
And when primary care becomes affordable, great things happen. Pets come in sooner, so problems get caught earlier. Over a lifetime, that's not just better medicine — it's actually cheaper too.
We've now proven this across six London clinics and more than 8,000 pets. Our members stay. They refer their friends. And the pets are healthier for it.
Why New Jersey, and why Clifton
Everything is bigger in America, even the vet bill. American pet owners face some of the highest and least predictable veterinary costs in the world. That's part of why bringing Snoots here felt so important.
But there's a personal reason too. I'm a New York kid. My dad lives in Fort Lee. I spent weekends in Passaic and afternoons in Paramus long before I ever opened a veterinary clinic. Once we got Snoots UK up and running, I knew that if we ever crossed the Atlantic, North Jersey would be where we started. This community helped shape me. It feels fitting that it's where we begin our next chapter.
We're opening our doors this summer at The Shops at the Promenade in Clifton, off Route 3, and we're accepting founding members now.
Loving your pet shouldn't require financial guesswork or result in a heartbreaking decision you never wanted to make. Veterinary care should be affordable. It should be predictable. And it should be there when you need it.
This is our mission at Snoots and we're excited to bring it home for $55 per month.
